IconicOs

Let me introduce you to IconicOs. This is a personal project created for the customisation of folders and documents icons of your operative sistem. Here you can find several packages of icons wich you can download for free for Mac OS X and Windows. The basis of this project is founded on the Emotional Design concept proposed by Donald Norman and other studies like the one made by Patrick Jordan. Them both studies were focused on how to make the relationship between product and user more pleasurable, and one way to make it is through customization. Nowadays, usability is not enough pleasurable as any emotional approach can gain in the user. IconicOs is focused on the customization of our virtual office, the operative system, and the icons are the representation of all we manage in that space, that's why they're so important on it. IconicOs bring the tools for you to give to your own space your personal touch.

Channel Frederator

Hi everybody, it's been a long time since the last post, I apologise but's been a lot of academic work ! I'm getting more & more closer of being an entire Graphic Designer! Well, this time I'm gonna talk about Channel Frederator. This is a very funny podcast about animation. It's really cool because their contents are based on what their audience send to them, so what you can see is what you or any of us would have sent. Personally I just love Channel Frederator, they are always grateful for the people who send their work (they always say that, it's great! xD ). So...how you can watch Channel Frederator? You can go to their site or you can subscribe. I use iTunes for that, it works perfect with podcasts.

Channel Frederetor also have a little brother, ReFrederator, go and watch it too, it's all about vintage animation, I'm addicted to it too! lol

ColourLovers

ColourLovers es una comunidad online orientada a compartir el gusto por el color. Su especialidad es la creación de paletas, las que se generan de un modo dinámico y rápido. Todo WYSIWYG y ante todo, útil. Las paletas generadas pueden usarse prácticamente para cualquier fin gráfico que deseemos, ya que pueden descargarse como imagen, y en formatos utilizables para programas Adobe, como los formatos ASE, ACO o AI, e incluso se pueden descargar para ser usados en formato HTML o CSS. El concepto de esta comunidad está buenísimo, todo gira en torno al amor, haciendo una combinación perfecta entre la hermandad y lo geek, lo que sumado a su utilidad vuelve a ColourLovers un sitio casi imprescindible.

Melanie Einzig

Melanie Einzig, fotógrafa estadounidense, procura mostrar en su trabajo, literalmente, cualquier cosa que le interese. Por lo mismo, su fotografía, en su mayoría, registra hechos de la vida cotidiana, quitándole esa relevancia casi "sublime" del concepto de "composición". No obstante, ella misma reconoce que sus fotografías son "muy personales", ya que siente identificarse con la persona o situación fotografiadas. Así, afirma que fotografiar en público la mantiene "despierta y atenta, siempre mirando alrededor...Entusiasmada por el hecho de que la vida mismo ofrece situaciones mucho más extrañas y hermosas que cualquier cosa que pudiese montar".
